Meta business verification: steps, documents and where it gets stuck

Before the official API is opened, Meta checks that your business really exists, using documents. In practice this step rarely fails because a document is missing — it fails because names do not match: a clinic is known by its brand name while its tax record carries a different legal company name.

Short answer

Business verification is Meta's document check and it is required before the API opens. In Türkiye the most common blocker is not a missing document but a legal name on the document that differs from the name on the account. Chatinbox prepares the application; Meta gives the result, and the time it takes cannot be guaranteed.

What you provide

  • A trade registry or tax record
  • A utility bill in the business name
  • Business address and phone number
  • A website belonging to the business

What Chatinbox handles

  • Comparing documents against account details first
  • Preparing the application for you
  • Reading the reason for a rejection and fixing it

What Meta decides

  • Whether the documents are accepted
  • How long verification takes
  • The reason given for a rejection
What this guide covers
  • The order of the application
  • Which documents actually work
  • What to do after a rejection

Step by step

Business details are filled in

Name, address, phone and website. These must match the document exactly — including street abbreviations, company-type suffixes and phone formatting.

Verification is started

The application is opened from the security section inside Meta Business Manager.

Chatinbox handles it

Documents are uploaded

A trade registry record, a tax record or a utility bill in the business name are accepted. The name and address on the document must match what was entered in the previous step.

A contact method is confirmed

Meta sends a code to the business phone number or email address. Entering the code completes the application.

The result comes back

Sometimes on the same day, sometimes after several days. Meta sets the pace, so we do not promise a date. Meanwhile the panel setup and team training run in parallel.

Meta decides

The three usual sticking points

Brand name versus legal name

When the name patients know differs from the company name on the record, the account carries the legal name and the brand name goes into the display name instead. Mixing the two is the most common cause of rejection.

Address formatting

A difference in district, building number or an abbreviation between the document and the account is enough to fail. They are written word for word the same.

Domain and email address

A domain that belongs to the business, and an email address on that domain, make the application noticeably easier. Free email accounts are weak evidence.

What if it is rejected?

A rejection is not final. Meta states a reason, the gap is corrected and the application is submitted again. We run that round for you. To be plain about it: nobody can commit to how many rounds it will take, or that the outcome will be positive — that decision sits with Meta.

Let's prepare the documents together

In a 15 minute call we check your documents and whether the names line up.
