Configure a Note node
A colored comment box you drop on the canvas. It never runs and has no connectors, and an empty note text blocks flow activation.
A note explains the flow to the people who edit it; the customer never sees it. The box has no connectors, so it cannot be wired to another node. Server validation lists every note as an unreachable step, which costs five health points but does not block activation. An empty note text is an error, and it does stop activation.
Before you start
- A flow open in the editor: a note lives on the canvas only and never shows in the flow list.
- A filled note text; empty text becomes an error in server validation and blocks activation.
- Flow Builder access for the people who will read it. Customers never see this text anywhere.
Step by step
These screens sit inside the Intent AI section. Sign in, open Intent AI; the menu names below are in that section's left menu.
Drop the note on the canvas
Open the flow in the editor. Drag the Note node out of the tools group and drop it next to the steps you want to explain.
Write the text and choose a color
Type the explanation into the note text field in the right-hand panel. Pick yellow, blue, green, red or purple; the color changes the box background and separates topics.
See that the note does not run in a test
Save and run one round with the test button. The box stays colored on the canvas. It shows up neither in the chat nor in the debug execution path.
Result checkIf it did not work
Check these
- A flow that refuses to activate may hold an empty note. The required-field line in the validation list names the note label, so fill in the text and save again.
- Validation reports every note as an unreachable step. That is expected, because the box cannot be wired; the warning does not block activation but costs five health points each.
- You cannot connect a note to another node, since the box has no connectors. Move the note next to the step it explains when the order matters.
