Pause, resume and cancel a send
A running send shows a pause icon and a paused one shows a resume icon. The cancel icon opens a confirmation and stops the queued messages.
All three controls are icons at the right end of the project row. Which one appears depends on the status. Pausing is reversible, cancelling is not. Cancelling stops only the queued messages. Whatever already reached a recipient cannot be recalled.
Before you start
- A project in running or paused status
- A project that is not archived; archived rows carry no action icons
- The Projects feature enabled for your account
Step by step
These screens sit inside the Intent AI section. Sign in, open Intent AI; the menu names below are in that section's left menu.
Read the status badge on the row
A running badge also carries a progress bar and a processed counter.
Press the pause icon to pause
The run stops at that moment.
Press the resume icon to continue
The run carries on from where it stopped.
Pass the confirmation to cancel
The cancel icon opens a window where you must confirm the cancellation.
Watch the badge and counters change
A pause turns the bar amber; a cancel adds a cancelled count to the row.
Result checkIf it did not work
Check these
- A failed pause usually means the run had just finished. Press refresh and read the status again.
- A few recipients may still get the message after you cancel. Cancelling empties the queue only.
- No pause icon means the project is not running.
- While a run is active the table refreshes itself every eight seconds.
